EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing)


EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. It is a contemporary therapy that supports recovery from problems triggered by traumatic events. EMDR supports the brain in reprocessing difficult memories around distress or trauma. EMDR is most associated with results with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) However it can also be used in the wider context of mental health, including phobias.
